OUR FIRST REVOLUTION SHOULD BE IN HOW WE VOTE  -  RANKED CHOICE VOTING BRINGS REAL DEMOCRACY

NEXT WE TAKE MONEY OUT OF POLITICS BY MAKING ALL FEDERAL AND STATE ELECTIONS PUBLICLY FINANCED

IMAGINE A CONGRESS THAT ACTUALLY REPRESENTS THE PUBLIC When you remove the influence of money from politics you get different kinds of politicians and different kinds of laws that actually represent the needs of the middle class and the nation at large.

IMAGINE A CONGRESS THAT ACTUALLY REPRESENTS THE PUBLIC

When you remove the influence of money from politics you get different kinds of politicians and different kinds of laws that actually represent the needs of the middle class and the nation at large.

WE no longer live in a representative democracy

According to a 2014 Princeton University study America is actually an oligarchy because a few hundred families are paying for our elections and are therefore in control of our political policy, which has the effect of keeping people away from participation in democracy because they know it's pointless to try.  No matter who they vote for everything stays the same.  Status Quo is latin for "We don't care about the 99%".

THE GOOD COP/BAD COP ROUTINE

The two party system is actually one party with two sides, both controlled by money.  It is a classic divide and conquer scheme created by the uber wealthy who finance both political parties at the same time. The only difference between democrats and republicans is on a narrow range of social issues, but on big important issues like monetary policy, war policy and corporate oversight policy, the two parties are in lockstep agreement.  And in many cases both parties are pushing agendas with almost no public support of their positions.  No wonder half the electorate does not show up to vote.  After the good cop/bad cop show, the public abandons the process.  It's as if the system was designed to fail.

Texas Democracy Ranking by FairVote:  42nd

The ranking is based on 2014 U.S. House election data on the quality of competition and representation in the 50 states, and is calculated on an average of the four rankings: Competitiveness, Representation, Proportionality, and Turnout.  Texas is second to last in voter turnout.

INDEPENDENT, LIKE TEXAS

I am independent from either party telling me how to vote, what to say, or when to say it.  Here is a Democratic Senator from Hawaii admitting how party politics controls their conversation from which they dare not deviate.

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil…
— 1 Timothy - The Bible

It is clear at this point in history that American politics is completely about money.  No other interests are represented.  When you consider the danger of climate change to our future, the love of money seems foolish and short sighted.

If you are as disillusioned and disgusted as I am with the status quo of leadership in this country, I ask you to consider the idea that voting for the two parties is not working and is in fact detrimental to our future.

IF YOU WANT THINGS TO CHANGE - STOP VOTING FOR DEMOCRATS AND REPUBLICANS

If you stop voting for the two parties and start voting for independent candidates the system will change immediately and the status quo will be altered to include the middle class.

The current "winner take all" system is flawed because it does not represent the electorate population, which is multiple percentages of political support.  RANKED CHOICE VOTING is a way to have these percentages represented accurately, and bring America back to a democracy.
